SiriusXM Launches Music Talk Radio Channel – Pitchfork
SiriusXM has announced a new channel dedicated entirely to music discussion. VOLUME debuts October 17 at 7 a.m. Eastern, and has an initial lineup of 12 programs that feature interviews, music trivia games, album reviews, and more.Â Several high-profile guests are slated to appear across VOLUMEâs initial run of shows. Lady Gaga will be on the first episode of a show called âFeedback,â hosted by Nik Carter and Lori Majewski. Airing each weekday from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Eastern, âFeedbackâ is a âliveÂ morning talk-show featuring the latest music news, scoop, whatâs trending and conversations with guests and audiences,â according to a press release.
Other guests include Steve Albini, who will appear on a show called âThe Last of The â¦,â T.I. on âRap Radar Report,â Robert Plant and Paul Simon on âWritten in My Soul With Bill Flanagan,âÂ Metallicaâs Lars Ulrich on âTrunk Nation,â andÂ David Crosby and Pat Benatar on Melissa Etheridgeâs show âMelissaâs Basement.â Other shows include âThe Album Review Show,â hosted by the Needle Dropâs Anthony Fantano, and âRolling Stone Music Now,â a continuation of the publicationâs podcast.
